BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TA Associates, a leading growth private equity firm, today announced that Ashutosh Agrawal has joined the Menlo Park office of TA Associates as a Principal. Mr. Agrawal will focus on investments in technology-based companies.
Mr. Agrawal joins TA from Francisco Partners where as a Principal he most recently led coverage of industrial technology, energy technology and vertically-oriented technology sectors. He joined Francisco Partners in 2001 and during his tenure at the firm, spent time with companies in all sub-sectors of information technology, including software, systems, semiconductor, information services and telecommunications. Mr. Agrawal’s responsibilities included sourcing, investment thesis development and diligence, deal structuring and negotiations, as well as portfolio company management and exit planning. Prior to joining Francisco Partners, he worked in the Leveraged Finance group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was involved in structuring and execution of leveraged loan, high-yield bond, bridge loan and mezzanine financing transactions for companies. Mr. Agrawal received a BS, summa cum laude, in Computer Science and an M.Eng in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University in 1999. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2005, where he was a Baker Scholar.
